Witherite

  

This specimen of limestone is covered with pyramidal crystals of witherite. These are actually cyclically twinned orthorhombic crystals. The largest is 3 cm in length and it is doubly terminated.

Sharp pyramidal colourless crystals of witherite to 15 mm in length scattered about the matrix. There are many micro colourless acicular crystals of alstonite in association.
