Photo-Atlas of Minerals

2 mm lilac whitlockite crystals covering quartz

2 mm yellow whitlockite crystals and carbonate-apatite covering quartz

2 mm lilac-brown whitlockite crystals covering quartz

White rhombohedral crystals to 1 mm on carbonate-apatite on quartz

Lavender coloured rhombohedral crystals to 2 mm covering quartz. This colour is most sought after of the whitlockite which is found at the Tip Top mine. In fact, it is this colour, which some dealers have mistaken for pahasapaite - a serious error.
