Glassy, deep raspberry red clusters of variscite to 1 mm throughout vuggy matrix associated with a bit of lilac strengite on white albite.

Origin: Boa Vista, Galileia, Minas Gerais, Brazil

Red glassy microcrystals of ferrian variscite in sperical aggregates to approximately 1-2 mm in diameter.

The Arkenstone

 

  

A typical variscite nodule measuring 3 x 1.8 x 1.2 cm in size is embedded in matrix. There are micro crystals of sparkling wardite lining the inside of the vug directly on the matrix.
