Trimerite

This specimen has a druse of gemmy crystals of trimerite to 4 mm in length. This specimen also appears to have either tilasite or manganberzeliite as indicated by the reaction under SW UV light. The best trimerite specimens, of which this specimen is, were found in the Hindenburg workings of the mine.

There are three areas with trimerite( fluoresces light yellow), the best is an area of 4 x 5 mm and contains good crystals to 1 mm. Associated are 1 to 2 mm spessartine crystals. Phenacite is also within the matrix as well as hematite and calcite (bright red fluorescence). Ex. Pinch & Feinglos Collection
