Topaz

  
  
This specimen consists of a spray of topaz crystals moderately included. On the end of one of the crystals rests a pseudomorph of hematite after garnet. It is 1.2 cm across. The largest topaz crystal, the one hosting the pseudomorph, is 6.1 cm in length.
Origin: Topaz Mountain, Thomas Range, Juab County, Utah, U.S.A.

A well crystallised face of slightly smoky quartz has two excellent terminated crystals of topaz attached. The largest topaz is just over 1 cm tall, the companion is 8 mm.
