This specimen at first glance looks a lot like smithsonite from Berg Aukus. Under the microscope, however, it is clear that the crystalline masses are myriad grouped triclinic crystals of tarbuttite.
Origin: Kabwe, Broken Hill, Central Province, Zambia
Sample size: 3.5 x 4.0 cm, numerous 1 to 3 mm pinicoids of translucent to transparent tarbuttite (top), 1.3 x 2.1 cm (2nd row)
