Light lilac crystal aggregates to 1 mm on quartz.

  Lilac or purple crystal aggregates to 2 mm across with one crystals in a radial spray 8 mm in diameter! Golden fibrous cacoxenite is also present.  Personally collected by Dr. Al Kidwell in 1954.

Specimen with rounded crystal aggregates to 2 mm in grape-like bunches. This specimen, like other strengites from various localities, exhibits an extreme colour changing (alexandrite effect) property. The photo was taken under with a mix of incandescent and halogen lights. Under fluorescent lighting the color changes to a light lilac colour.  In association with beraunite and kidwellite.

Sample size: 5.3 x 7.4 cm specimen. This sample contains at least two of the habits of strengite. There are botryoidal crystals and radial crystals surrounding spherical centers (top), 2.7 x 1.7 x 1.3 cm (2nd row), 2.5 x 1.5 x 1.2 cm (bottom)
