Spodumene under LW-UV light
Origin: Kunar, Afghanistan
Owner: Axel Emmermann

The activator of the orange-pink fluorescence is possibly manganese. The lilac-violet fluorescence in other parts of the crystal remains to be explained but maybe caused by rare earth elements. Stereo photo taken under short wave UV.
