Scheelite

This partial crystal of jet black wolframite is coated first with a druse of micro crystals of dolomite and then smothered with coffee coloured crystals of scheelite. The scheelite crystals are all about 0.5 cm across. Under SW UV light the specimen is brightly fluorescent blue-white.
Origin: Yaogangxian Mine, Chenzhou, Hunan Province, China
Sample size: 6 x 3.4 x 1.2 cm

This specimen of muscovite hosts a sharply terminated 2.8 cm crystal of scheelite. There is also a small cluster of albite crystals attached to the scheelite. Ex. Edwards Minerals coll.

Origin: Ping Wu, Sichuan Province, China
Sample size: 4.3 x 3.4 x 3.3 cm (top), 2.8 x 2.8 x 2.4 cm (bottom)

This partial crystal of quartz is covered with milky white crystals of dolomite and on that are found a number of lustrous chocolate to grayish brown crystals of scheelite. The largest is 1.5 cm across.
Origin: Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan Prov., China, Asia
Sample size: 6.4 x 3.7 x 2.7 cm
