This specimen consists of a platy crystal of hematite with bursts of straw yellow colored rutile crystals growing on the same axes as epitaxial growths. The rutile crystals are crudely terminated.
Origin: Novo Horizonte, Bahia, Brazil, South America
Sample size: 3.8 x 2.8 x 1 cm (top), 4.5 x 3 x 3.3 cm (2nd row), 4.1 x 3.1 x 0.6 cm (3rd row), 4 x 3.3 x 0.5 cm (4th row), 3.9 x 3.4 x 2.8 cm (5th row), 4 x 3.3 x 0.3 cm (6th row), 6 x 5.5 x 4 cm (bottom)
