Brilliantly lustrous hematite with radiating, straw-like crystals of golden rutile.
Origin: Novo Horizonte, Bahia, Brazil, South America
Sample size: 3.3 x 2.5 x 2.1 cm (top), 4.5 x 3.8 x 1 cm (2nd row), 3.4 x 3 x 2.1 cm (3rd/4th row), 3.2 x 2.9 x 0.4 cm (5th/bottom row)
 
  
  
This is a very large rutile crystal. The crystal is actually a twin, but it is difficult to get this to show up in the photographs.
Origin: Graves Mountain, Georgia, U.S.A.
