Teal green, globular rosasite with malachite and aurichalcite

Origin: Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico

Sample size: 5.5 x 4.5 x 2.5 cm

 

  

Spherical aggregates with a teal green colour. The aurichalcite is in teal green and in small radial acicular aggregates. Also present is hemimorphite.

Dark green spherules of rosasite to about 0.75 mm on light green smithsonite

Deep bluish green crystals of rosasite to 1 mm with cerussite crystals, some twinned, to 8 mm. The backside contains calcite and minor duftite.
