Rockbridgeite

Rockbridgeite with fairfieldite and jahnsite on a predominantly triphylite matrix

Silky green to golden brown radial sprays of fibrous crystals to 1.5 cm on quartz with jahnsite

Vuggy triphylite matrix filled with acicular, black rockbridgeite crystals to 2 mm associated with hureaulite crystals to 3 mm. Also associated with jahnsite.

This specimen has outstanding acicular black rockbridgeite crystals to 0.75 mm and is associated with light purple glassy leucophosphite, vivianite and pink hureaulite.
Origin: Tip Top mine, Custer Co., South Dakota, USA
Sample size:about 4 cm (top),  left 6 x3 x 2 cm, right 10 x 7 x 5 cm (2nd row), 5 x 3 x 3 cm (3rd row), 7 x 5 x 5 cm (4th/bottom row)

Rockbridgeite with orange crust of ushkovite and eosphorite

Black, lustrous, acicular crystals of rockbridgeite to 0.75 mm as singles and bundles throughout large vugs lined with light green leucophosphite, vivianite and hureaulite.

Micro brown crystals of jahnsite-(CaMnMg) to less than 0.2mm covering one side of matrix with silky, acicular black crystals of rockbridgeite to 1.5cm embedded in matrix.
Origin: Tip Top mine, Custer Co., South Dakota, United States
