Rhodochrosite with fluorite
Origin: Hedgehog Pocket, Sweet Home Mine, Alma, Park Co., Colorado, Southwest U.S.A.
Sample size: 5.4 x 2.8 x 2.2 cm
 
  
This specimen has abundant rhombic crystals of pink rhodochrosite to 1.5 cm across. Also found are black, rather amorphous crystals of what appears to be bornite.
Origin: Speculator Mine, Butte, Silver Bow Co., Montana, Northwest U.S.A.
Sample size: 12.5 x 9.5 x 6.4 cm
 
  
This specimen of quartz has heavy coverage of richly coloured and fairly gemmy crystals of rhodochrosite to 1.5 cm across. Several of the quartz crystals are host to hanging rhodochrosite crystals and a solitary , 1.5 cm crystal of hubnerite.
