Reddingite

Origin: Tip Top mine, Custer Co., South Dakota, United States
Sample size: 8 x 6 x 3 cm with micro (less than 0.5 mm) crude red crystals

Golden brown to brownish red pseudo-octahedral crystals to 1 mm. The blue in the matrix is probably triphylite altering vivianite.

Golden brown to brown, highly lustrous, pseudo-octahedral crystals to about 0.5 mm. On the side of this specimen is a small group of pink hureaulite crystals.
