This quartz crystal contains a phantom that would be absolutely invisible except that on its surface grew dozens of little pale transparent crystals of fuchsite, demarcating its faces. Along one side is a rich covering of fuchsite microcrystals of a larger size, with a more saturated green colour.

The Arkenstone

 

     
 This crystal of quartz is host to a weird group of stacked calcite crystals with disk shape. The fringes of the calcite are included with some microscopic sulfide coloring them gray. The center of the quartz is also included with boulangerite and small galena crystals.
