Abundant crystals of
copper
and pyrochroite are set in cavities between bladed
barite
crystals on this large cabinet sized specimen. Native
lead is
present as sheets and small nodules scattered about the specimen. The
copper is
found as dendritic crystalline masses with distorted dodecahedra as the
dominant crystal form.
This sample has a large mass of pyrochroite with crystals of
copper
extruding from it. Native
lead is
seen as a sheet between the
barite
and pyrochroite.
This specimen has some outstanding crystals of pyrochroite with druses of
colourless
fluorite crystals to 1 mm across. The
fluorite
crystals appear to have a predominantly octahedral form with cubic face
modifications.
This cabinet specimen has abundant small crystals of pyrochroite disseminated
throughout the dolomite rich matrix. The specimen was found (or obtained) in
1938 according to von Eckermann's label. Ex.
Harry von Eckermann collection
This specimen is mostly comprised of pyrochrosite crystals. There is an area
where there is a crust of small
aragonite
crystals. Ex. Frank Edwards collection
