Old label from A. F. Eadie states: "Metallic bright silver-gray to blackish tarnish aggregates intergrown w/purplish rickardite, minor chalcopyrite, all in and on quartz-mariposite (green) matrix. Some secondary gold precipitate on petzite." Mariposite has been discredited and is now described as a chromium phengite or muscovite.
