Bright red to light red and pink montgomeryite crystals to 1 mm as lath-like
single crystals and crystal tufts to 2 mm. One side has brilliant black
robertsite crystals on the matrix, which contrast strikingly with the red
montgomeryite.

Bright red long, bladed crystals of montgomeryite in aggregates to 3 mm. The
single crystals are perhaps to 0.75 mm. The red montgomeryite stands out
very nicely against the white
whitlockite/
carbonate-apatite
matrix. Associated is shiny black
robertsite.
