Origin: Penberthy Croft mine, St Hilary, Cornwall, England, UK
Sample size: 1 mm crystals (top left), mimetite crystals to around 1 mm, with greyish balls of scorodite. The mimetite is coated by pale brown hidalgoite, and later carminite (top right), pale brown crystals to 0.8 mm (2nd row left), crystals to 0.7 mm on gossan (2nd row right), colourless prismatic crystals of mimetite to 1.2 mm, with tapering multiple terminations. On yellow crystalline segnitite (3rd row left), 2.5 mm crystalline mass of mimetite. The unusual blue colour may be due to a small copper content (3rd row right), mimetite crystals to 1.2 mm (4th row left), rounded crystals to 1 mm (4th row right), 1.2 mm translucent greenish mimetite crystal (bottom left), colourless mimetite crystals to 0.3 mm on green bayldonite (bottom right)
