This specimen has a crystalline layer of small azurite crystals. There is abundant zinc rich malachite as velvety tufts set on the azurite.
Origin: Blue Jay Mine, Lemhi County, Idaho, Northwest USA
Sample size: 9 x 8 x 4 cm (top), 9.4 x 6 x 3.4 cm (2nd row), 9.3 x 6.7 x 3.5 cm (3rd row), 13.5 x 9 x 3.5 cm (4th/5th row), 6 x 3.7 x 2.8 cm (6th row), 7 x 3 x 1.8 cm (bottom)

This specimen of dolomite hosts a crystal of azurite replaced by malachite (pseudomorph) and then hit with a thin coating of secondary azurite mineralization. The right side of the crystal was sheared which shows the complete replacement by malachite.
Origin: Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Namibia, Africa
Sample size: 4.1 x 3.1 x 2.6 cm
