Maghrebite

A new mineral in 2006 occuring in the Co-Ni deposit of Bou Azzer as a secondary mineral associated with erythrite and quartz. These are small but visible at 4x and look like gypsum crystals - clear, triclinic as singles and clusters.

This specimen, though only a 1cm chip is probable the richest and has a good size crystal. You can barely see it in the photo. It is the blurry crystal between the black spot and the tip of the erythrite crystal.
Origin: Arhbar mine, Bou Azzer district, Morocco (type locality)
Sample size: 2 x 1.7 x 1 cm (top), 1 cm chip (bottom)
