This specimen has a calcite vein in which are exposed abundant, sharp, tabular crystals of lustrous, jet black långbanite to an enormous 6 mm across. Långbanite was found, according to Flink, in many areas of the mine. He considered the specimens with rhodonite and hausmannite to be the richest however. Unlike many specimens from Långban this is a truly displayable specimen and clearly among the finest in the world.

It is comprised of rhodonite and hausmannite. It has a calcite vein in which are exposed crystals of lustrous, jet black långbanite as tabular crystals to 3 mm across.

Several crystals of jet black långbanite to 1 mm are exposed in a mass of manganoan rich diopside. Also present are crystals of hausmannite and scattered calcite.
