Jahnsite

Jahnsite with fairfieldite on predominantly triphylite matrix.
Origin: Tip Top mine, Custer Co., South Dakota, USA
Sample size about 4 cm,  jahnsite crystal 1.5 mm (top right)

jahnsite-(CaMnX) with X = Fe or Mg on triphylite matrix
Origin: Tip Top mine, Custer Co., South Dakota, USA (type locality
Sample size: top 9 x 8 x 4 cm, middle 3 x 3 x 2 cm, bottom 6.5 x 3 x 3 cm, crystal 3 mm

Exceptionally large jahnsite-(CaMnMg) crystals to about 4mm. The crystals are nicely striated, typical of jahnsite. Good coverage with very distinct crystals on quartz.

Jahnsite crystals to 2 mm associated with dark, platy mitridatite on quartz. The jahnsite (probably CaMnMg) crystals are large for the species, are chocolate brown, translucent and striated.

Specimen with unusually large olive green, botryoidal habit mitridatite to 6 mm associated with a thousands of micro, golden brown jahnsite crystals to 1 mm, brownish-grey leucophosphite micro crystals and robertsite. Ex. John Barlow collection
Origin: Tip Top mine, Custer Co., South Dakota, United States (type locality)
Ex. Grenier collection
Sample size: 10 x 7 x 3 cm (top), 9 x 6 x 5 cm (2nd row), 10 x 7 x 5 cm (bottom)
