This specimen is covered with velvety
malachite.
On that are found lustrous crystals of
azurite
and yellowish iodargyrite as crystalline masses with crystals to 1 mm.
This specimen is host to one of the largest masses of iodargyrite that I can
recall seeing. It is completely crystalline with individual crystals to over
0.5 cm across. The mass in the center is 4 cm across its longest dimension.
Scattered on the surface of the iodargyrite are micro crystals of either
embolite or
chlorargyrite. Iodargyrite displays color change between incandescent
and fluorescent lighting. It is a drab color under incandescent lights and
bright lemon yellow under fluorescent lights.
