This specimen of serpentine hosts scores of small acicular crystalline masses of mily white hydromagnesite. The rather uniform masses range in size up to 4 mm across.
Origin: Staten Island, NY, U.S.A.
Sample size: 5.2 x 10.4 cm specimen. Contains numerous 1-2 mm wide white rosette-like crystals that cover one side of the specimen (top), 10.6 x 5.5 x 3.4 cm (2nd/bottom row)
