Hubeite

  

This 4 cm x 3 cm x 1.5 cm cluster features bowtie sprays of inesite up to 2.2 cm, bowtie sprays of hubeite up to 8 mm, and slender quartz needles up to 1.2 cm, all sprinkled with micro-crystals of apophyllite.

Origin: Ezhou, Hubei Province, China

Hubeite with inesite on quartz

  

Chocolate brown, transparent crystals of hubeite to 2 mm with rich coverage associated with pink inesite fans to 3 mm. Ex. DeVito collection

  

  

Brown, thin spear shaped crystals, sparse associated with apophyllite, inesite on quartz.
