Origin: Navegador mine, Conselheiro Pena, Minas Gerais, Brazil

Sample size: top 2.5 x 1 cm with tetragonal crystals to 4 mm, 2nd row 1.5 x 1.5 cm with 7 mm crystals,

3rd row 1.5 x1.5 cm with 8 mm crystals, 4th row 11 x 8 x 5 cm with 18 crystals averaging 6 mm,

5th row 3.6 x 2 x 1 cm with several crystals to 6 mm, 6th row 8 x 6 x 2 cm with several crystals to 7 mm,

7th row 6 x 5 x 4 cm with a few crystals to 8 mm, along with a few micros of spessartine, bottom 11 x 6 x 3 cm, dozens of crystals to 7 mm

Helvite with hematite and quartz

Origin: Jinlong, Longchuan (Laolong), Guangdong, Central South Region, China

Sample size: 6.5 x 6.9 x 8.3 cm

 

  

Sharp brown opaque well formed crystals of helvite to 17 x 17 mm in size scattered about a matrix of brownish blocky microcline crystals with smoky quartz. Minor spessartine is in association.
