Brassy metalic heazlewoodite with interbanded awaruite. Green crust consists of zaratite.
  
Brassy metallic heazlewoodite with interbanded awaruite. Zaratite is the green crust. Mostly, the two are indistinguishable in hand specimen. This piece has been sawed in half probably as part of a polished section for ore microscopy.
Origin: Lord Brassey Mine, Heazlewood, Tasmania, Australia
Sample size: left 4 x 4 x 3 cm, right 6 x 3 x 2 cm (top), 5 x 4 x 2 cm (bottom)
