Pink dodecahedral grossular crystals up to 0.4 cm are set on diopside matrix. The crystals are fluorescent under SW UV light.

Gemmy, intense green grossular from the famous tanzanite mines at Arusha. Miners pop these off with screwdrivers from the graphite matrix. This one has a bit of the graphite remaining.

Two dodecahedral, orange-brown grossular crystals, 2.3 and 1.8 cm across, perched on a wollastonite-rich matrix. The back of the garnets is contacted, revealing internal colour zonation due to a Ti-rich core zone.
