This interesting deposit consists primarily of coarsely crystalline gold which
has been transported a short distance. Though crystalline most specimens do
display varying degrees of roundness due to transport of a short distance from
the source. Most of these specimens came out in the 1980s. There is still gold
to be found at the deposit, however, troubles and differing points of view
between the indigenous peoples and the miners has all but curtailed
production.
