The Arkenstone

This specimen has abundant crystals of bertrandite, fluorite and fluorapatite set on them. The fluorite was deposited in two generations with sharp octahedral crystals to 1.7 cm across first followed by a micro crystalline deposition. The bertrandite crystals have a frosting of the smaller fluorite crystals. Blue fluorapatite crystals to 1 cm are found scattered about the specimen also.

This specimen has abundant crystals of bertrandite, large octahedral crystals of fluorite to 5.2 cm across and numerous blue crystals of fluorapatite crystals to 1 cm. Micro crystalline fluorite is found to cover the initial fluorite phase and it also partially covers much of the bertrandite.
Origin: Akchatau Tungsten Mine, Kazakhstan, Asia
Ex. Marty Zinn collection
Sample size: 9.5 x 4.9 x 3.5 cm (top/2nd row), 20 x 14.5 x 6.5 cm (3rd/bottom row)
