The Arkenstone

This specimen has abundant composite octahedral crystals of fluorite to 2 cm across and numerous, lustrous, gemmy blue crystals of fluorapatite crystals to 1.3 cm in length. Bertrandite crystals are found at the base of the fluorite crystals.

This specimen is mostly comprised of octahedral quartz with crystals to 3 cm across. There is also a cluster of lustrous, gemmy blue fluorapatite crystals to 0.7 cm in length.
Origin: Akchatau Tungsten Mine, Kazakhstan, Asia
Ex. Marty Zinn collection
Sample size: 11.4 x 5 x 3 cm (top/2nd row), 7 x 5.8 x 3 cm (3rd/bottom row)
