The Arkenstone

This specimen has sulfide rich matrix with abundant crystals of bertrandite, fluorite and fluorapatite set on them. The fluorite was deposited in two generations with sharp octahedral crystals to 1.7 cm across first followed by a micro crystalline deposition. The bertrandite crystals have a frosting of the smaller fluorite crystals. Numerous lustrous, gemmy blue fluorapatite crystals to 1.1 cm are found scattered about the specimen also.
Origin: Akchatau Tungsten Mine, Kazakhstan, Asia
Ex. Marty Zinn collection
Sample size: 9.7 x 5.5 x 5 cm
