The Arkenstone

This specimen is mostly fluorite as both crystals and micro crystals covering the bertrandite that is on the rock between the octahedral crystals. There are also a few crystals of blue fluorapatite to 0.6 cm in length visible though others are likely there but covered by the microcrystalline fluorite.

This specimen has abundant compsite octahedral crystals of fluorite to 4.3 cm across and several scattered blue crystals of fluorapatite crystals to 0.8 cm in length. Bertrandite crystals are found at the base of the fluorite crystals and many are partially coated with micro crystals of fluorite.
Origin: Akchatau Tungsten Mine, Kazakhstan, Asia
Ex. Marty Zinn collection
Sample size: 9.3 x 7 x 2.5 cm (top/2nd row), 16 x 14 x 4 cm (3rd/bottom row)
