Elbaite on
quartz
Origin: Grotta d'Oggi, Elba Island, Italy
Sample size: 4 x 3.5 x 4 cm (top/2nd row)
Nicely terminated 0.7 cm crystal of elbaite set on orthoclase. The crystal
shows 3 different colors and the top shows a deep dark/black color. Some smoky
quartz crystals and tiny elbaite are also found on this rock.
