Massive, tin white to silvery fresh with a brownish-copper colored tarnish (pop-up photo). This is a freshly broken piece and is very rich. Occurs with "Mohawkite", a mixture. It is NOT evident what is pure Domeykite and what is the so-called Mohawkite on this specimen. One would never know without performing ore microscopy and SEM work ups with polished sections.
Origin: Mohawk mine, Calumet, Keewenaw Co., Michigan, United States
Sample size: 5 x 4 x 4.5 cm
