This is a specimen of native copper comprised of dendrites and spinel law twins. The dominant form of the crystals on the dendrites are distorted cubo-octahedrons.
Origin: Itauz Mine, Djezkazgan, Kazakhstan
Sample size: 3.5 x 2.1 x 0.7 cm
 
  
  
   This specimen was collected in December 1998 from 1st level drift. The copper has an attractive cuprite coating giving it an orange appearance. Analcime casts up to 1.1 cm are present along with 1 analcime crystal 0.9 cm across.
