Chalcopyrite
A large mass of crystallized brassy chalcopyrite, with crystals to 3.5 cm in
size, all set on a matrix of crystallized brassy small
pyrite
crystals. The sides and back of the group are almost completely coated by
brown micro
hubeite
crystals. Inter-mixed with the
hubeite
are small colourless crystals of
calcite,
many of these slightly damaged as seen in the photos, to 18 mm in length.
This specimen shows crystals of bright brassy chalcopyrite to 25 x 20 mm in
size on a matrix of small bright crystals of
pyrite.
About 1/2 of the specimen is coated by brown micro crystals of
hubeite.
