Dark red crystalline grains with pink grains of rhodonite. Ex DeVito Collection
Origin: Långban mine, Långban, Värmland, Sweden (type locality)

This specimen of massive calcite has embedded crystals of black braunite (poorly formed crystals) and a very large mass of caryinite which is reddish brown in colour. Caryinite was found in several areas of the mine but only very rarely in anything resembling good crystals.
