Green acicular spray to 1.1 cm with associated atacamite

Origin: La Farola mine, Tierra Amarilla, Chile

Sample size: 11 x 5 x 4 cm

 

  

This specimen contains good visible brochantite as dark green, thick tabular crystals to 2 mm lining a vug and is associated with tyrolite and possible cyanotrichite. The tyrolite occurs throughout the matrix. The tyrolite is suspect and could be chalcophyllite.
