Synonyms/varieties:

 

Comments:  Dimorphous with claudetite. Taste astringent, sweetish, a very toxic substance. Occurs as an oxidation product of other arsenic-bearing sulphides in hydrothermal veins, may be formed in mine fires or in burning coal seams.
