Cleavage:  2; {101} good; {010} poor

Synonyms/varieties:

 

Comments:  Dimorphous with paradamite; series with olivenite. Found as a secondary mineral in the oxidised zone of zinc- and arsenic-bearing hydrothermal mineral deposits.
